Bob Cockerham's Testimony Paying Off - Video Link

Today (May 19, 2009) Senator Mary Landrieu testified on the U.S. Senate floor delivering news of changes that have been made in the Small Business Administration along with additional proposed changes. She named in particular New Mexico auto dealer Bob Cockerham (Car World Kia) who members of AutoDealerPeople.com and members of my personal network supported with hundreds of e-mails.

In a world whose economic news is dominated by the industrial giants, we often wonder what does one small voice really matter? Why take the time to sign a petition or get involved? This video shows what a single auto dealer with the support of over 500 e-mails and faxes from other dealers (detailing their own predicament) can actually accomplish.

We are living in historic times. The auto industry (along with our allied and finance industry partners) are all in it together. When the opportunity to help occurs, I hope that moments like this make it easier for everyone to take a few minutes to do their part. Don't count on someone else to do it for you!

I thought the testimony of Senator Mary Landrieu was a home-run! I share the thought, small business owners are the real backbone of this country and it's time they are given the much needed relief with the SBA. I would like to know more about how we can help our dealers with the SBA.

Good Job Bob Cockerham (and Greg)

As I work thru chapter 7, I find this news encouraging! I wouldnt wish bankruptcy on any one. Small business is the backbone of this country, and our economy will not survive without it. i hope that Bobs work will just be the start of many great things to come, and I am glad that some good may have come from my demise. If your struggling, keep fighting, and if someday you make it big, dont forget what it was like when you had to fight.
