Driving green is easier and cheaper than you might think

In today’s eco-friendly world, carbon emissions are one of environmentalists’ biggest fears, and so it’s no wonder why cars are facing more and more scrutiny. It’s such a worry that fuel companies are now marketing “green” options in their product lines, and car manufacturers are jumping on the success of new, environmentally friendly hybrids, producing new cars that speak directly to drivers’ concerns over the environment.

But what could you do to change the way you drive and… Continue

Car Dealerships - Divide and Die

Each month I put almost 3000 miles on my car and usually change my oil that same month at my local dealership. There is a list of things that I’ve noticed dealerships could do to improve a customer experience in both sales and service but I wanted to address one that is very apparent. I’ve never understood why a dealership seems divided into two different divisions; sales and service. It’s almost as if there is a civil war between the two and sending customers across the battle lines is… Continue

Get Personal with Women

In almost any office occupied by a woman, you’ll find some indisputable evidence that a woman uses the space. Sometimes it’s a plant or decoration she’s brought in to personalize her space. Frequently it’s a photo or two or ten of friends and family. Sometimes it’s a photo of Brad Pitt or George Clooney (fully clothed).

For men, you are less likely to find as many items of a personal nature in their workspace. I did a quick survey of the offices and cubicles in my company. Only one… Continue

Lifo to be eliminated in Obama Budget

In the latest budget proposal LIFO deductions will be eliminated, another little tidbit that's under the radar screen. While this is extremly poor timing it could be a blessing or a curse depending on your dealerships current status especially since it based on inventory levels.. Regardless its amazing that no-one has picked up on this, what is everyones opinion.

Xenon HID Lights Help to Achieve More Glare for Your Vehicle

Majority of car manufacturers have started to realize the popularity of Xenon HID lights and incorporated them as a standard equipment in their high level cars. You’ll also have the option of installing these HID headlights on your mid-range cars. These products are also sold separately by a large number of offline and online stores. Owners of older cars are very curious to know about this lighting option and its viability as a source of illumination for their cars.

Install Xenon HID Lights in your Vehicle for High Illumination & Low Cost

A somewhat pioneering technology in lighting has arrived at the scene in the form of Xenon HID lights that have given traditional Halogen lights a run for their money. Xenon lights are better in every aspect than Halogens. They are more cost and energy-efficient and last even ten times longer. Five times more light is also generated by Xenon HID lights. If the popularity of Xenon bulbs continues like this, you’ll soon find Halogen bulbs missing from automobile headlights.

Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Paid Rebels?

According to an article published by the BBC this time last year, Abubakar Yar’Adua of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) was left to defend comments that may or may not have been said regarding the long-standing belief that militants residing in Nigeria are being paid to protect the oil infrastructure. In his defense, Yar’Adua later stated that he had been misunderstood, and that there was no money that transferred from the hands of the NNPC to militants. However, one militant… Continue

What is the most efficient method to develop lender relationships for a small independent dealership?

Brief bio on our store:

Been in business just over three years at the same location. Built a new facility last year. Nothing spectacular, just an attractive 1600 ft building. We're on a 1 acre plot located on a busy major highway, and have good visibility and walk-in traffic. We usually have 25-30 unit inventory. $5K to $12K retail.

We've been with CAC for almost two years, and are about halfway to capping our first pool. CAC is about our only option, unless the customer brings… Continue
