"Hey, Just reading this post. Your crazy. I think that the Town should have a buffer in between auto stores. I know that one of the Auto stores involved wants the buffer but don't want to come out in public to say this. On another note."

Time to take a stand! Zoning issues. Our industry has a slow cancer!

In Derry NH a member of the planning board convinced the rest of the members that used car dealers and service stations are bad for the town. They are attempting to put buffers between the lots such as 1000, 1500,2000 between them. Having one member with some sort of secret adjenda is wrong especially when they do not own the land which limits the use of a parcel. It could be considered as a "taking" which is guaranteed not to happen under the 5th, 9th, and 14 th amendment of our constitution…See More

The storm after the storm! The shortages are coming!!

I feel almost like Paul Revere riding thru New England sounding the alarm, I was reading an article today and it was saying that over 250,000 cars have been destroyed from the hurricane Sandy. Obviously they're going to need to be replaced. So as we go into the traditionally slower winter months , perhaps selecting a few extra pieces of inventory isn't such a bad idea. This is going to be worse than obamas cash for clunkers taking out so many entry level vehicles. This may drive up wholesale…See More

Sheldon,

They are salvage buyers. Their eyes are on the damaged and missing parts rather than good looking solid cars. There is bunch of cars in copart auction that look good without any obvious damage that have been patched , glued, screwed and put up for auction, many people have bought them and realized what a junk they are. I bought a Cadillac Escalade a year ago from copart , looked great (in the pics) , front line ready, when tow truck dropped it off  at my place, I was amazed how it was re-structured with bondo, even Michael Angelo couldn't create a masterpiece like that. For sure there is lot of hidden talent in auto body community yet to be discovered.
