Mark you hit the nail on the head about the BBB being an organized extorsion group. In my opinion the BBB has the right idea but they are charging the wrong people for their work. The BBB should be charging the consumer a fee everytime the consumer…

BBB is worth the cost. First consumer look to see if you are a memeber and what your history is. Not a member? A negative. As a member if you have complaints and they are settled that is a plus. We participated in an arbitration program they had. We…

It sure saves me time from having to justify anything to them after the fact. As with anyone in the car business I do not have time to chase anything other then a car deal!

It may be a game, but many people really do use it as a barometer to determine whether or not they should do business with you. Just another tool in the belt that comes in handy when you least expect it.

Been a member for years. Have even partnered with them on some advertising. Good for business because we're the only "A" rated leasing company in the area. We send clients to their site to verify we're a trustworthy company to do business with.

Mr. Brian,

Thanks for establishment of our ‘Business Friendship’ on Auto Dealer People. My Automotive Dealership Consulting services are available to any Automotive Dealership. I’d appreciate opportunity of providing assistance regarding potential Factory / Dealership Audit of Sales Incentive and Service Warranty claims submitted by a Dealership for payment.

Sean,

What I meant was linking through banners or web-links to other related businesses, ie. tinting, accessory, body shop, towing, car clubs. You can put a banner ad or just the web address of affiliated industries on your site as "partner ads" and in return have your site on the website of dozens of other websites too. This cooperative advertising costs nothing to do and most companies will do it because it is mutually beneficial. Just search for local affiliate companies in your market and send them an e-mail requesting to cross promote each other on the web.

By having these web-links from other sources than your own website you are ranked higher on search engines.

I hope this answers your question.
