Our service advisors are paid on labor and parts, a higher percentage on labor. I n addition we pay a tiered percentage on customer pay labor which is where we want our focus to be. You say that your techs are on teams, do they split the hours produced or do they flag individually. First thing to check is to see if the rates your techs are being paid are competetitive in your market. We pay our team leaders a monthly bonus based on the hours produced by their team. We also tier the bonus amount based on the productivity of the team so that they are focused on working closely as a team while watching their clock/overtime hours if any.
