- I was in the branch manager in the equipment rental business from March 1972 to 2007. I was very fortunate to have an excellant mentor Jerry Knox who taught me everything I know in business. Our company of 5 rental stores was bought out in 1992. That company was bought out in 1999 by United Rental. I ran two rental operations in Omaha which were under proforming. I had a good team in place and with in a year we were bringing 20% of the profit to the bottom line. I managed receivables and income statements. That's why receivables in the BHPH don't botrher me.
