5 Smart Shopping Tips

Posted on November 30, 2010 at 4:20pm 0 Comments

You may be surprised to know that the biggest mistake you can make when shopping is to shop the 'best' or 'lowest' priced products. That's right! Buyers mistakingly use price to drive their buying decisions - this is referred to as the price myth and retailers have used the lowest price hook for years to drive traffic to their stores and websites. The single biggest shopping mistake a consumer can make is to base the decision to shop or buy solely on price and I should know as I have… Continue

While it is agreed that training can improve the production results of a company there is no shortage of companies and executives that question the return on investment (ROI). Before you calculate the cost of training you should calculate the cost of mishandling opportunities that result from not training your people. Sales training has failed many companies because it was incorrectly implemented, not measurable, outdate and not relevant and did not actual assist in solving problems and… Continue

While the world spends so much time complaining about what is wrong I am reminded at this time of the year to focus on what I have to be grateful for:

All those involved in the military that risk their lives to protect this country.

The honest police forces around the country that make us all safe.

The courageous firemen in cities that risk their lives for each of us.

The compassionate and loving nurses that work overtime to take… Continue

During periods of major loss including economic change individuals experience a number of stages in response to the loss or change. Everyone has to go through each of the stages in order to recover and the speed at which you get through them determines how soon you recover.

Just like experiencing grief there are stages to recovery and the healing process. First, Denial, then (2) Anger and Blame, followed by (3) Bargaining or Hope that someone… Continue

The reasons your people are not motivated is not what you may think. I There are three major reasons and the number one reason is the media!

The media's constant 24 hour chaos coverage is destroying the hopes and dreams of mankind and is the main culprit why you find your people not motivated today. The media has a greater commitment to filling your people's heads with negativity than you have in giving them hope, motivation and solutions. I fear… Continue

Just wanted to say "Thank You" and tell that you have been a personal inspiration to me over the years.

I can still remember the 1st time I spent several hours in a room with you in Grand Rapids...It began with me believing that you had never closed a deal in the real ended with you rewiring my perception of the buyer, their needs and expectations. Although I had already found success as a salesperson and mgr, I left that day on a new path and armed with a different attitude, perspective, new tools, word tracks and presentation formulas.

The next morning I rolled out of bed and my first thought was, "Remember why you are here and what you are capable of!"
(Actually, that was my 2nd thought, my first is always"How in the world did I convince this incredible, beautiful woman to marry me!")

In any event, I have been rolling ever since....

Thanks for all you do.....Keep Rockin!!!!!
