HOW DID YOUR 2011 NEW VEHICLE GROSS STACK UP TO JANUARY 2010- HOW WAS YOUR VOLUME

The few dealers I am working with had mixed volume results but the gross profits seemed to have held. While experts are predicting a large increase in new vehicle sales January results and February's, I am sure ,will put us on a retail sales pace of less than 11M units.

 

I love the car business but this economy still has a long way to go and everyday the news just keeps getting worse and worse. Sure, there are pockets like here in Texas where business is OK but our state is facing a huge budget shortfall as are all the local cities and many thousands of people may lose thier jobs.

 

I strongly suggest that the cost cutting measures you took in 2009 not be abandoned until you see a major uptick in your traffic.grosses and volume.

 

Increasing fixed operations coverage should still be your job number one.It makes you weather proof if you get my drift.
