Auto Dealer People

I'm not sure how many of you know Ben Donnarumma, he is a dealer and a member of this site, but today is the 5th anniversary of losing his young daughter to leukemia. Many individuals have a difficult time with the holidays due to the lose of a loved one. I can't begin to imagine the pain of losing a child so young and at this time of year. Below are the words Ben shared with some friends today and they touched my heart. I thought we might all give him some words of encouragement today.

Laugh and cry
When my daughter was born and had her first view of the world and of her dad;
I laughed and I cried.
When my daughter started to crawl, started to walk and for the first time said daddy;
I laughed and I cried.
When I see pictures of her, always happy,always glowing, always knowing;
I laugh and I cry.
When I see my daughter playing in my head being silly, shouting and screaming I LOVE YOU being a beautiful little girl;
I laugh and I cry.
When I remember all the joy she brought to us and all the smiles put on faces of the people around her;
I laugh and I cry.
When I think of her every day of my life and what she means to me;
I laugh and I cry.
She makes me a better person, she makes me a better father,she makes life better and when I think of her
I laugh and I cry.
She is her with us in mind and in spirit. She is a continuous source of inspiration and when I get down and need motivationI think of her and I laugh and I cry.
She brings joy to my heart and joy to my soul.She makes me laugh every day she makes me laugh every night.
There is no greater joy than a child there is no greater heartbreak than the loss of a child but if we are wise we know there is always a tomorrow so LIVE to the fullest, LOVE to the deepest, and LAUGH the loudest;
Sophia, I love you and miss you so much.
I always think about you and I promise I will laugh the loudest......Love Daddy

Ben, I have two grown children and four grand kids and I have never walked your walk. Love comes in the strangest froms. God never lets us down. God needed "Sophia" to watch over us, that makes her very special. I will remember you and your family in my prayers this Christmas. Love, Buddy Jones

Harlene,thank you for sharing Mr.Donnarumma's heart felt words to and about his daughter.In the everyday grind of this business and the hurried nature of the holiday's,this slowed me down to think about my 4 wonderful children,my 2 grandson's and all that is truly important in our world.I feel sure that based on what this man wrote that Sophia was escorted to Heaven by an Angel and is next to God,safe,at peace with no pain.God Bless this father and his family.

Hey Ben. I know we have only met a couple of times, but I wasn't aware of the loss of your daughter. My heart goes out to you & your family. I pray God somehow gives extra peace to you & your family right now, as I'm sure this is a hard time for you. Thank-you for sharing your heart in your letter to Sophia--very touching. I realize this sounds cliche--but if there is ever anything I can do to help..even just a listening ear, please let me know. I hope we will cross paths in 2010. God Bless, Ryan Linnehan

I am sorry for your loss Ben, I will pray that GOD give you strength and love to you and all your love ones. Like my Pastor said when he lost his son, there will be the day when you get to see her again. Till that day we know she will allways be in your heart.

GOD BLESS.

Ben, thank you for putting your blessing and loss out there for us to take part in. I am a father of 3 daughters and some of our best friends are going through the pain of an extremely ill child right as we speak. The comforting love of our Father is giving us the strength to deal with this illness. I pray for you and your family and hope in this Christmas season her memories are vivid! You can see her again, in no pain! Jesus Christ died for us so that we can be with Him and our loved ones for eternity!

My heart goes out to you, coming from my own experience losing my father as a young boy, my brother later in life and then my mother. Count your blessings as they are around you, I know this too from personal experience.
Thank you for sharing.
